晚清贵州籍总兵宋桂芳生平及在台史事考

A study on the life of a Guizhou general soldier in late Qing dynasty,Song Guifang,and his historical deeds in Taiwan,China

贵州福泉籍爱国将领宋桂芳,一生戎马,官至福建福宁镇总兵,为维护国家领土统一、防御与开发台湾地区,奉献毕生。光绪初年,奉命赴台,“开山抚番”,成为其人生最大亮点。由于没有传世著作,史书对其着墨不多,相关研究成果较为缺乏。今以官修史书、地方文献、奏折、日记等史料为主,对宋桂芳的生平及赴台史事进行初步探讨。希冀通过此研究,丰富晚清时期贵州与台湾地区交往史实。

Song Guifang was a patriotic general of Pingyue(now Fuquan county,Guizhou Province)in late Qing Dynasty.He led a military life all his life and became the commander of Funing Town,Fujian Province,giving his precious lives for national territorial unity,defense and development of Taiwan,China.In the early years of Guangxu,he was ordered to Taiwan,China to“opening up the mountains and appeasing the aborigines”,which was the biggest highlight of his life.Without written work handed down,there is no much ink on him in historical books,and the research on him is relatively rare.This paper mainly discusses Song Guifang′s life and his deeds in Taiwan,China based on official historical books,local documents,memorials,diaries and other historical materials in the hope of enriching the history of relationship between Guizhou and Taiwan,China in late Qing Dynasty.
