摘要
白垩纪是显生宙最长的一个断代,持续时间超过7700万年。中国白垩系分布广泛,以陆相地层发育为特征,海相和海陆交互相地层的分布相对局限。历经百年,中国白垩纪岩石地层的划分与对比研究取得了一系列进展。然而,中国白垩系在不同地块和盆地间岩性存在较大差异,岩石地层的划分与对比长期以来存在较大的争议。本文对中国白垩纪岩石地层进行了系统和全面的梳理,提出中国白垩系不同大区、不同盆地之间岩石地层的最新划分和对比方案。中国东部白垩纪岩石地层以火山-沉积组合为主要特征,中西部大、中型陆相湖盆区以红色碎屑沉积为主要特点,而西部的特提斯区则以海相地层的发育为特征。
The Cretaceous is the longest period of the entire Phanerozoic Eon, spanning over 77 million years,and the Cretaceous System is divided into two series and 12 stages. The Cretaceous strata are widely distributed in China, with terrestrial deposits developed, and marine and interactive marine-terrestrial deposits relatively limited. After one hundred years of extensive work on the Cretaceous stratigraphic successions in China, considerable progress has been made in stratigraphic division and correlation. However, the Cretaceous deposits show a great difference in lithology in different blocks and sedimentary basins in China, and therefore their lithostratigraphic division and correlation have long been a subject of controversy. Here we conduct a systematic and comprehensive summary of Cretaceous lithostratigraphic successions in China, and further provide the latest scheme about lithostratigraphic division and correlation of Cretaceous deposits between different regions and basins. The Cretaceous lithostratigraphy is mainly characterized by volcanic-sedimentary assemblages in eastern China, by red clastic rocks in large and medium-sized continental basins in central and western China,and marine deposits in the Tethys area of western China.
