闽北区方言的箩义词

Words denoting“rice basket”in northern Min dialects

原始闽北区方言中的箩义词当为单说的“箩”。后来靠近浙江省吴语区的方言从吴语处衢片引进了单说的“[署]去”。镇前方言仍保存着这种单说的“[署]去”。在其他方言中进一步形成了双音节的“穀[署]去”。此处“穀”指稻穀义,也是引自吴语的方言词。在浦城县临江和观前方言中说“[署]上箩”,这是从浦城吴语引进的说法。在枫溪方言中则发生“穀[署]去”和“[署]上箩”的混合而形成了“[署]去箩”。在峡阳、洋墩和东峰方言中“篓”取代了“箩”。“篓”原来大概是指较小的箩。迪口方言的“篓箩”是“篓”和“箩”的混合词。迪口方言原来的说法当为“箩”。

In Proto Northern Min dialect,the notion of"rice basket"is believed to be denoted by the monosyllabic word luo(萝).Later,a monosyllabic word zhu([署]_(departing tone))was borrowed from the Chuqu Wu dialect to express such a notion in Northern Min dialects spoken near the border of the Zhejiang province.While this monosyllabic zhu is still preserved in modern Zhenqian Northern Min dialect,a disyllabic form(穀[署]_(departing tone))has been formed in other Northern Min dialects.Its first character ke meaning"grain"is also loaned from the Wu dialect.Besides,in the Linjiang and Guanqian dialects of ihe Pucheng county,the form zhuluo ([署]_(rising tone)萝)denoting"rice basket"is borrowed from the Pucheng Wu dialect as well.In the Fengxi Northern Min dialect,the words kezhu and zhuluo have been combined into the form zhuluo([署]_(departing tone)箩).This luo in zhuluo is replaced by lou(篓)in the Northern Min dialects of Xiayang,Yangdun and Dongfeng.and the primitive meaning of luo is probably"a small basket".Furthermore,the louluo(篓箩)in Dikou Northern Min dialect is a hybrid of lou and luo.The original word which means"rice basket"in the Dikou dialect is supposed to be luo.
