扬州人文地名用字与城市文化形象

Research on the Use of Words in Yangzhou’s Humanistic Place Names and Urban Cultural Image

地名是地域内空间方位的名称,它也在一定程度上承载了地域的文化内涵。扬州地名的文化内涵丰富厚重,同时也反映出扬州这座城市的文化形象。依据国内高精度地图,共收集到扬州市区人文地名2030个,其中,道路类地名有1184个,村庄类地名有384个,住宅区类地名有462个。通过量化分析、用字考察,可以发现,扬州地名反映了城市的地理、历史、人文特征,从而构建出扬州历史悠久的古城形象、资源丰富的水乡形象、自然和谐的宜居形象,这也是扬州市区别于其他城市的个性特征。

Place names are the names of spatial directions in a region,and they also carry the cultural connotation of a region.The culture of Yangzhou’s place name is rich,which reflects the cultural image of Yangzhou city.Based on the domestic high-precision map,we collect 2030 humanistic place names in Yangzhou city.It includes 1184 names of roads,384 names of villages and 462 names of residential areas.Through quantitative analysis and word investigation,it is found that Yangzhou place names reflect the characteristics of urban geography,history and humanities,and build the cultural image of Yangzhou city:the image of an ancient city with a long history,the image of a water town with rich resources,and the image of a natural and harmonious livable city.It is the personality characteristic of Yangzhou city,which is different from other cities.
