Objective: To explore the therapeutic effect of the midnight-noon ebb-flow method combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture on young patients with essential hypertension, and analyze its effect on the circadian rhythm of blood pressure in young patients with essential hypertension. Methods: 107 young patients with essential hypertension were randomized into two groups. 53 patients in the control group received conventional acupuncture, while another 54 patients in the observation group received treatment with the midnight-noon ebb-flow method combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture. Then the treatment effect and circadian rhythm of blood pressure between the two groups of patients were compared. Results: After treatment, the levels of SBP, DBP, dSBP, dDBP, nSBP and nDBP of patients within 24 h in the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05). The effective rate of conversing dipper type blood pressure in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The midnight-noon ebb-flow method combined with syndrome differentiation acupuncture can significantly reduce the blood pressure level, and effectively adjust the circadian rhythm of blood pressure in young patients with primary hypertension.
