On the Reverse Development of Han Tombs with Stone Relief Discovered in Nanyang District

南阳是我国汉代画像石墓流行的重要地区之一,其产生、发展和演变具有一定的规律。南阳画像石墓在新莽时期以后逐渐趋于衰落,"去礼制化"是一种重要现象,政治体制及意识形态的变化是这一转变的根本原因。

In Han Dynasty,constructing tombs with stone relief was once prevalent in areas such as modernday Nanyang.The emergence,development and evolution of such tombs followed a certain pattern.The number of tombs with stone relief constructed in Nanyang declined gradually after the Xinmang Period.There was a trend of‘de-ritualization’,resulting from changes in the political structure and ideology.
