《烟火漫卷》是迟子建城市书写的又一力作,“人”是其中重要的构成,作品聚焦城市中的底层人物,但却有意淡化了对其物质生活层面贫乏和艰辛的观照,而是更着意凸显其在精神层面的困局。作家或将其置于生命无常的侵袭之下,展现生命残酷和沧桑的本相;或将其置于历史的漩涡当中,突出个体生命在时代洪流中的无奈和悲哀;或让其陷入当下普遍的精神或情感困境里,进而连带起更宽广的社会人生之投射。通过这些无法回避的苦难,生命本身的创伤性得以充分释放,人之为人的坚韧和尊严亦完成表达。

Fireworks Everywhere is Chi Zijian’s masterpiece of city writing,in which People is an important component.The work focuses on the bottom people in the city,but it deliberately downplays the poverty and hardship of its property life,and highlights its spiritual dilemma.The writer may put it under the attack of the impermanence of life to show the cruelty and vicissitudes of life;Or put it in the vortex of history to highlight the helplessness and sadness of individual life in the current times;Or let it fall into the current general spiritual or emotional dilemma,and then associated with a broader projection of social life.Through these unavoidable sufferings,the trauma of life itself can be fully released,and the tenacity and dignity of human beings can be expressed.
