农村居民教育的减贫效果研究——基于全国农村固定观察点面板数据

On Poverty Reduction Effect of the Education of Rural Residents:Based on Panel Data from National Rural Fixed Observation Points

基于2003-2016年全国农村固定观察点面板数据,实证检验了农村居民教育对同代贫困和贫困代际传递的影响。研究发现:提高农户受教育水平能够降低其陷入贫困的概率,但只有户主受教育程度达到高中水平时,教育才显著提升农户的收入水平;村级整体教育水平的提高有效缓解地域贫困状况;亲代教育既可通过子代教育间接影响子代陷入贫困的概率,也会直接影响子代的贫困状态。重视农村教育,对巩固拓展脱贫攻坚成果、实施乡村振兴战略具有重要意义。

This paper examines the effect of the education of rural residents on the poverty of same generation and the intergenerational transmission of poverty based on panel data from the national rural fixed observation points from 2003 to 2016.The results indicate that improving farmers’level of education can reduce their probability of falling into poverty,but only when the head of the household has had a high school education,education can significantly increase the income level of farmers;the improvement of the overall education level at village level can effectively alleviate regional poverty;parental education not only indirectly affects the probability of children falling into poverty through children’s education,but also directly affects children’s poverty status.Valuing rural education is of great significance to consolidate the achievements in poverty alleviation and advance rural revitalization.
