白鹭洲书院自南宋建立后,渐次成为庐陵地区重要的文教中心。书院践行先进的教育理念,培养了文天祥、邓光荐、刘辰翁等大批爱国志士,同时引领庐陵士风,实施社会教化。白鹭洲书院从教育理念、人才培养、社会教化等方面影响了庐陵地区,培育了文章节义、崇文重教的庐陵文化精神。

Since it was founded in the Southern Song Dynasty, Bailuzhou Academy has gradually become an important cultural and educational center in Luling area. With the advanced education notion, the academycultivated a large number of patriots and scholars, such as Wen Tianxiang, Deng Guangjian, Liu Chenweng, etc. in the history.
