The honor system is a unique model of academic integrity management in American universities,which respects students'moral responsibility and trusts students'self-management ability.College of William and Mary is the first university to implement the honor system.After continuous improvement and adjustment,its honor system has developed into a relatively complete system including oath of honor,governing body,code of conduct,disciplinary measures,honor procedure and so on.The honor system is not only the cornerstone of the integrity community of William and Mary,but also a strong guarantee of the high level of undergraduate teaching quality.As an effective governance mode to maintain campus academic integrity,the concept and method of honor system in academic integrity management,academic integrity education and academic integrity environment can provide targeted reference for the construction of academic integrity of college students in China.
