近代中国在打开国门以后,不仅国家逐步走向现代化,中国人自身的"现代化"程度也逐渐加深。陈向阳所著《现代中国人的诞生》一书在运用详实史料的基础上,以对古代中国人多重面相的评介入手,提出了对于中国人如何从古代走向现代的看法,赋予了"现代中国人"以相当丰富的内涵。这对于读者理解近代以来国家和社会变迁之下个人随之的变化和进步很有启发意义。总的来说,陈著视角独到、观点新颖,读来令人有耳目一新之感。不过,书中的一些具体表述尚有补充和完善空间。此外,作者对于古代中国人的认识和评价方面,也仍有商榷之处。

After the opening of the country in modern China,not only did the country gradually move towards modernization,but the degree of“modernization”of the Chinese themselves has gradually deepened.The book The Birth of Modern Chinese by Chen Xiangyang uses detailed historical data and intervenes in the evaluation of the multiple faces of ancient Chinese people.It puts forward a view on how Chinese people go from ancient times to modern times,and gives modern Chinese people with a very rich connotation.This is very instructive for readers to understand the changes and progress of individuals following the changes in the country and society in modern times.In general,Chen’s book has a unique perspective and a novel point of view,which is refreshing to read.However,some specific expressions in the book still have room for supplementation and improvement.In addition,the author’s understanding and evaluation of ancient Chinese people still have some questions.
