The main responsibilities of the meteorological department include strengthening the construction of disaster prevention and reduction, promoting the construction of emergency early warning information release system, preparing and implementing meteorological disaster prevention planning, participating in the government’s decision-making on disaster prevention and reduction, and doing a good job in early warning information release and service. This paper expounded the construction means of common meteorological disasters and disaster prevention and reduction early warning service system in Xinjiang.
