Among them, the former, represented by Scenic Hudson Preservation Conference, was committed to protecting the natural environment of Hudson Valley, while the latter agreed the construction of pumped storage plant that represented by Con Edison and other power companies. Finally, the controversy ended with the signing of Hudson River Peace Treaty.
