Research on Overseas Chinese and the Internationalization of RMB in the New Era

随着中国综合国力的提升,人民币国际化被越来越多人所接受。海外华侨华人作为中国同世界交流的重要纽带,在推动人民币国际化发展上扮演着重要角色。对此本文通过研究新时代华侨华人与人民币国际化发展的现状,提出两者之间存在的问题。在分析因国际贸易体系不稳定性带来的风险、人民币国际化的金融基础设施不完善、人民币在外汇储备中的占比有待提升以及相关的监管体系需要进一步完善多个问题后提出了相关建议。要加快人民币国际化进程,建立持续开放的金融市场以及完善的人民币清算系统十分重要,同时加快金融数字化转型、充分发掘市场潜能,也能有效助力人民币国际化发展。

With the improvement of China’s comprehensive national strength, the internationalization of RMB has been accepted by more and more people.As an important link between China and the rest of the world, overseas Chinese have played an important role in promoting the internationalization of RMB.By studying the current situation of overseas Chinese and the internationalization of RMB in the new era, this paper puts forward the problems existing in the development between the two.After analyzing the risks caused by the instability of the international trade system, the imperfect financial infrastructure for the internationalization of RMB, the proportion of RMB in foreign exchange reserves to be increased, and the related regulatory system to be further improved, some suggestions are put forward.To accelerate the process of RMB internationalization, it is very important to establish a continuously open financial market and a perfect RMB clearing system. At the same time, accelerating the financial digital transformation and fully tapping the market potential can also effectively help the development of RMB internationalization.
