民国时期辅仁大学图书馆述略

A Brief Account of Library of the Catholic University of Peking During the Republic of China

辅仁大学图书馆成立于1925年,在政府强力监督、学校发展需要、负责人引领等内外部因素合力推动下,逐步成为管理规范、设备齐全的现代化图书馆,在馆藏建设、经费来源、职员队伍等方面呈现典型的国际化色彩,还存在中文馆藏以文史为主、利用率高等特点,为学校跻身名校之列,培养大批人才,发挥了极为重要的作用。考察辅仁大学图书馆简短的发展历程,能为当前图书馆建设提供有一定价值的借鉴。

The library of the Catholic University of Peking was established in 1925.Driven by the internal and external factors such as strong government supervision,needs of school development,and leadership of persons in charge,it had gradually become a modern library with standardized management and well-equipped facilities.It presented a typical international color on three aspects of collection,librarian team,and sources of funding.And the Chinese collection was mainly based on literature and history,and the utilization rate was pretty high.It had played an extremely important role for the university to become one of the prestigious universities and cultivate a large number of talents.Investigating the brief development history of library of the Catholic University of Peking can provide a valuable reference for the current library development.
