During pregnancy,a small number of dendritic cell(DC)on the maternal-fetal interface, through mutual connection and influence with other cells on the interface[trophoblasts, natural killer cell(NK cell),macrophages, regulatory T cell(Treg cell),etc.],play a crucial regulatory role in many immune tolerance links, such as regulating the balance of helper T(Th cell)1/Th2 cytokines, promoting the proliferation of Treg cell, regulating NK cell and so on.In addition,DC can also express a series of signaling molecules, cytokines and chemokines etc.,directly or indirectly involved in the process of decidualization, angiogenesis and placenta formation. The abnormal quantity, differentiation and function of DC could directly or indirectly lead to various pathological pregnancy, such as spontaneous abortion, preeclampsia,HELLP syndrome, ectopic pregnancy, etc.
