Research on the priority development of urban and rural public transport in small and medium-sized cities in economically developed areas

城乡公交优先发展对于经济发达地区中小城市公共交通重塑与转型具有重要意义。文章基于经济发达地区中小城市固有特点与公交发展现状及存在问题,以太仓市为例,以实现中小城市"公交优先—公交优质—公交优秀"的转变为目标,针对性提出城乡公交优先发展的近、远期策略及优化建议,对中小城市公交转型与服务提升具有重要意义。

The priority development of urban and rural public transport is of great significance to the development of small and medium-sized cities in economically developed areas. Based on the development characteristics and the current public transport issues in these cities, this paper takes Taicang as an example, aiming at realizing the transformation from public transport priority to public transport quality and to public transport excellence, and puts forward short-term and long-term strategies and optimization suggestions, which will play an important role in the public transport transformation and service improvement for small and medium-sized cities.
