8~10世纪墓葬中的桌椅题材与分期分区研究

Research on the Chronology and Regional Characteristics of the Mural Theme of‘One Table and Two Chairs’in Tombs between the 8^(th) and 10^(th) Century CE

本文通过对发现于河北、河南和山东地区8~10世纪带有桌椅题材的纪年墓的梳理,探讨了墓葬中桌椅题材的构成与搭配,认为这一时期的桌椅题材受到同时期家具演进的影响而极具时代性的特点。有关桌椅题材的壁画和砖雕的发现,填补了以文献和传世画作研究这一时期桌椅发展的诸多空白,其所构成的发展序列也足以成为判断墓葬年代的标尺之一。

This paper investigates the contents and various components in murals belonging to the theme of‘one table and two chairs',which have been found in Hebei,Henan,and Shandong between the 8^(th) and 10^(th) century CE.The author suggests that the theme represents the contemporary development of Chinese furniture and thus demonstrates the characteristic of the time.In juxtaposing with previous scholarship on Chinese furniture and a typological analysis on tombs bearing inscriptions of the dates of the entombment,this paper proposes that the typological sequence of murals not only contributes to a better understanding of regional variations in the development of Chinese furniture that was overlooked in previous studies but also serves as a reference for archaeologists to identify the dates of entombment without any related inscription records.
