The Construction and Defense System of Military Installations on Liangzhou Road in Ming

明代河西走廊处在甘肃镇的管控之下,甘肃镇为了更好地管控河西走廊及进行军事防御,将其划分为五路进行区域防御,凉州路即是其中一路。管控区域以凉州卫、永昌卫、镇番卫及古浪所的地域为主,不仅在此置军屯守,更在凉州路修建了大量的军事设施,包括边墙(长城)、卫所城堡、军事堡寨等。文章将这些军事设施的修建、完善过程做一梳理和探讨。

The Hexi Corridor in the Ming Dynasty was under the control of Gansu Town.For better control and military defense,Gansu Town was divided into five roads for regional defense.Liangzhou Road is one of the roads.The control area is Liangzhou Wei.The areas of Yongchangwei,Zhenfanwei and Gulangsuo are the main areas.In order to better defend,the Ming Dynasty built a large number of military facilities in this area,including the side wall(the Great Wall),the Weisuo castle,and the military fort.This article sorts out and discusses the construction and im⁃provement process of these military facilities.
