Since the culture of The Book of Songs in the Western Zhou Dynasty, China has been a country in literature, not a country of Neo Confucianism and Taoism.Returning to China in literature is not only urgently needed by the Chinese nation, but also should become a guidance for mankind’s future direction.Dongpo expounded his philosophy of aesthetic life with his literary works of poetry and prose, and completed the dividing line from the five philosophers in the Northern Song Dynasty from the study of Taoism itself.As a great litterateur, Su Dongpo’s aesthetic way of life is the real representative of the Chinese national character.
