During drilling operation, new wells are easy to appear in the process of running in the open hole section of directional well, especially in the shallow formation and large build-up slope section. The coefficient of new wells in the process of reaming and running in is very large. This paper focuses on the risk factors and preventive measures to prevent new wells from being easily drawn in the process of reaming and running in highly deviated wells, and analyzes them combined with practical cases, which provides a good reference for field practical application.
