This paper mainly summarizes the characteristics of salmonella and other pathogenic bacteria and the resulting harm,compares the traditional detection methods with polymerase chain reaction(PCR)technology professionally,describes the characteristics of different detection methods,and comparatively analyzes the advantages and disadvantages between different detection techniques with the help of real experimental cases,as well as the current development of the practical application systems.Through the analysis of detecting various target genes of salmonella by PCR,this paper discusses the application and progress of PCR in detection of salmonella,and briefly expounds conventional PCR,multi-PCR,and real-time quantitative PCR.
