袁涤庵是近代知名实业家,也是鲜为人知的藏书家,为新中国文化事业做出过卓越贡献。通过方志、家谱、相关人物诗文、信札、手稿、档案等文献资料的梳理考证,就其生平事迹特别是藏书方面的成就作一述略。

Though a well-known industrialist, Yuan Di’an is a little-known bibliophile in modern history. He has made outstanding contributions to the cultural undertakings of New China. By combing his local chronicles, genealogy, poems, letters, and manuscripts, the present paper introduces his life story, especially his book collection achievements.
