The Angel of History is the latest novel written by Lebanese-American writer Rabih Alam-eddine.It is popular among Western readers for its fabulous artistic expressions and profound thematic representations.The novel describes three special journeys on the cultural“narrow roads”of the ethnic minority protagonist:the“enlightenment of brothel culture”,the“experience of gay culture”,and the“choice of pagan cultural”.The protagonist has witnessed the domination of Western cultural hegemo-ny and white American cultural hegemony,as well as the marginalization of the ethnic minority’s cul-tural identity and destiny in the past more than fifty years.
