关于深化中国文学外译研究的几点意见

A Few Suggestions for Strengthening Studies on Translation of Chinese Literature into Other Languages

中国文学外译已有一段历史,取得了重要进展,相关研究亦成绩显著。要将中译外研究继续引向深入,构建具有中国气派的翻译理论话语,还有几个方面的工作亟待完成:一是加强基于文学译介与生成全过程的系统研究;二是加强翻译家研究,深化翻译主体性探索;三是加强语言与审美维度的研究。最为重要的是,树立正确的翻译历史观和翻译价值观。如此方能准确定位中国文学外译,充分认识到其社会、语言、文化、创造和历史价值。

Considerable progress has been made in the translation of Chinese literature into other languages and also in the research work on such translation. However, several aspects of work are urgently needed in order to further advance research work on translation of Chinese literature into other languages, and to develop a discourse of translation theory with Chinese characteristics.The first is carrying out systemic studies on the whole process of literary translation and(re)generation;the second is deepening studies on translators and their subjectivity;the third is strengthening research on the linguistic and aesthetic aspects of translation. The last and also the most important is forming a correct view regarding the history and the value of translation. Only by doing so can we better position translation of Chinese literature and fully understand its social,linguistic, cultural, creative and historic values.
