摘要
《四时纂要》是唐代韩鄂撰写的月令体农家杂录。该书中记录了兽医知识,其中关于牛羊马的疾病和治疗的知识基本上是按照月份来编写的,而且多集中在农历春季1—3月份,这反映了对牛、羊、马的疾病发病时间的认识和经验。《四时纂要》在对牛、羊、马的疾病知识的介绍中,以马的疾病记载居多,这也与马在唐代的农业生产中占有举足轻重的地位有关。
The Si Shi Zuan Yao( Essential Knowledge for the Four Seasons) is a book of monthly( yue ling) practical knowledge for farmers compiled by Han E in the late Tang Dynasty. The book records a certain amount of veterinary knowledge: types of diseases and cures for these diseases on cattle,sheep and horses. The knowledge is written according to the month and mostly is concentrated in lunar months of January and March,which reflects the knowledge and experience of the onset time of veterinary. Also,entries on horse diseases make up the most part of the veterinary knowledge in the book. Apparently,this was due to the wide use of horses in the Tang Dynasty and their importance in agricultural production.
