Tacit medical knowledge is a key factor that determines the healthcare quality and the competitiveness of medical facilities.By breaking time and space limits,a novel mode of clinical continuing education based on the virtual community of practice would help to promote the sharing,management and inheritance of tacit medical knowledge between large general hospitals and primary medical facilities,which may improve the primary care service and accordingly improve the utilization rate of primary medical resources.
