盲人摸象比喻对事物只凭片面的了解或局部的经验,就乱加猜测,以偏概全判断。它告诫我们:做任何事情,只有多角度、多方位、全面地了解后,才能得出正确的结论。从前,有四个盲人很想知道大象长什么样子,可他们看不见,只好用手摸。第一个盲人先摸到了大象的牙齿,他说:"我知道了,大象就像一根又大又粗又光滑的棍子。"第二个盲人摸到的是大象的耳朵。"不对,不对,不对。大象明明像一把大蒲扇嘛!"他大叫起来。"你们都说错了,大象只是像一根大柱子。"原来第三个盲人摸到了大象的腿。而第四个盲人却嘟囔:"大象哪有那么大,它只不过是像一根草绳。"原来他摸到的是大象的尾巴。
Long ago,there were four blind people.They wanted to know what elephants looked like.Because of the blindness,they could only touch the elephant.The first blind person touched the elephant 1)ivory first.He said,"Oh,I see!The elephant is big,thick and 2)smooth,just like a stick".
