浅析IF设计奖珠宝类产品的功能性与民族性

Review on the Functionality and Nationality of IF Award Jewelry

近年来,IF设计奖的珠宝类获奖作品以其较强的实用功能和突出的民族性备受人们关注。IF设计奖在珠宝设计领域也形成了其特有的设计价值观和评价机制。本文以"The word"吊坠和"Signature Marriage rings"戒指的案例为对象,对它们所表现出的功能性与民族性进行分析和解读,并尝试从设计史的角度解释IF设计奖评选标准拟定的原则。可以肯定的是,设计师强调首饰的实用功能,将设计与民族文化相结合以拓展首饰产品的创意,是当今珠宝首饰设计与审美多元化发展的有益尝试。但文中两个获奖案例的功能有刻意追求"创意"之感,功能性和民族性被设计师勉强地赋予;此外,民族性的表达也囿于形式,人文关怀略显不足。在对现实设计实践的启示层面,本文认为设计师需要考虑具有独立实用功能的物品与身体佩戴的关系,在赋予设计民族性时可以让其更具有社会意义的启示。

In recent years,the jewelry award-winning works of IF Design Award have attracted much attention because of their strong practical function and outstanding nationality.IF Design Award has also formed its unique design values and evaluation mechanism in the field of jewelry design.Based on the cases of"the word"pendant and"signature marriage rings",this paper analyzes and interprets its functionality and nationality,and tries to explain the reasons for the principles for the selection criteria of IF Design Award from the perspective of design history.It is certain that by emphasizing the practical function of jewelry and combining design with national culture to expand the creativity of jewelry products,designers has brought a diversified and beneficial attempt for today’s jewelry design the creativity of jewelry products,designers has brought a diversified and beneficial attempt for today’s jewelry design and aesthetics.However,the function of the two award-winning cases in this paper is to pursue"creativity"deliberately,and the functionality and nationality are reluctantly.In addition,the expression of nationality is also limited to form,and humanistic care is slightly insufficient.At the enlightenment level of practical design practice,it is concluded that designers need to consider the relationship between articles with independent and practical functions and body wear,so can make the design more social meaningful when endow the design with national character.
