高职英语教师动机变化分析:活动理论视角

摘要 本文从活动理论视角考察了一位高职英语教师的动机变化,通过半结构化回溯生活史访谈的数据分析发现:教师作为其教学生涯活动系统主体,与系统中其他要素产生的矛盾使其动机水平发生变化,其中实践共同体及规则对教师动机的影响最大。由此针对如何维持和提高高职英语教师动机水平,从教师个人和机构两个层面提出了建议。 This study explores the changes of motivation of an experienced higher vocational EFL teacher from an activity theory perspective.The data from semi-structured,retrospective life-story interviews indicate that the community the teacher works in and the rules regulating activities concerning her teaching and developing are the factors which influence the teacher's motivation the most.The study implies that the higher vocational EFL teacher motivation changes over time via dynamic interactions between the agent/teacher and contextual factors in an activity system.This study also offers suggestions of how to maintain and strengthen motivation of higher vocational EFL teachers from both the individual and the institutional level.
