The key structure and functional requirements of bellows gate valve are described,and the thrust force of actuator is calculated according to the performance requirements of bellows gate valve.The design of pneumatic actuator for fast closing large caliber bellows gate valve is carried out from the aspects of actuator thrust calculation,actuator design and pneumatic circuit schematic design.
