摘要
民国出版物中不乏张爱玲绘画,尔后却多湮于时光。《更衣记》组图是窥其画作的遗珠,该图是其考证中国服饰变迁史并亲绘的系列插图,后被学界认为具珍贵的艺术和史料价值。民国文人善画者众,由张爱玲自绘插图可透视彼时作家群体创作状态。文人插图与文字共筑话语体系,若见其全貌还需这另一支笔。
Paintings by Eileen Chang were frequently seen in publications during the period of the Republic of China,though they have mostly vanished with history.The set of illustrations in her prose,Chinese Life and Fashions,was rare access to her artworks.It was composed of several illustrations drawn by Chang as a demonstration of the history of Chinese clothing.The illustrations were later considered of great artistic and historic values by the academic world.As scholars during the period of the Republic of China were mostly good at painting,the illustrations by Eileen Chang can be seen as an approach to understand the state of the creation of the writers then.When the paintings and the texts by a scholar work together to complete his/her discourse system,the brush other than the writing brush will be necessary to depict the full picture.
