Legend and Memory:An Analysis of the Sense of Community for Chinese Nation in the Narrative Text of the Benzhu of the Bai People

白族本主民间信仰通过塑造共同历史记忆,形成他民族人物崇拜的隐性信仰符号形态传递给各民族群众,将多元文化整合为一个完整的地方文化对中华民族共同体文化的认同范式,让地方各民族民众在接受历史记忆的同时主动敞开胸怀拥抱世界,最终实现“你中有我,我中有你”的各民族相互离不开的多元融汇局面,为铸牢中华民族共同体意识提供重要的地方经验。从白族本主文化中深入挖掘民族共有、文化互联、命运相通的中华民族共同体意识,以“和而不同”的文化并存策略审视中华民族共同体内的地方文化,分析各民族的交往交流交融,将有力地促进新时代平等团结互助和谐的民族关系发展。

On the basis of field investigation, combined with historical materials, folk stories, myths and legends and other textual narratives, it is proposed that the Bai people’s Benzhu belief has formed hidden religious belief symbols of worship of other ethnic groups by creating common historical memory, and transmitted them to the masses of various ethnic groups. The integration of diverse cultural into a complete local culture’s recognition paradigm for the community culture of the Chinese nation allows local people of all ethnic groups to take the initiative to open their minds and embrace all “others” while accepting historical memories, and ultimately realizes the multi-ethnic integration in which all ethnic groups are inseparable from each other. Therefore, it has provided important local experience for building the community for the Chinese nation. From the Benzhu culture of the Bai people, we probe into the sense of community for the Chinese nation, which is characteristic of all ethnic groups, cultural interconnection, and common destiny, and examine the local culture in the community of the Chinese nation with the strategy of “harmonious but different” cultural coexistence so as to refine and forge the ideological consensus of ethnic unity, which will effectively promote the development of ethnic relations featuring equality, solidarity, mutual assistance and harmony in the new era.
