Clarification on the essential of Jingjin(meridian sinew)

中医经筋理论的发展是始终无法回避对于其实质的探讨,尽管目前学术界对经筋的认识已渐趋于统一,但经筋的实质仍未明确。《灵枢·经筋》条文详细描述了手足各部经筋的起止、循行、分支,相互之间以及与解剖标志之间的位置关系,因此可以确定经筋是中国古代医家在目视解剖条件下发现的一类重要的人体结构。通过引入皮神经系统,对比神经与经筋的具体走行特征,发现四肢部、头部经筋在起止解剖位点,以及在走行过程中与相关解剖毗邻结构相对位置的描述方面,均存在一一对应的关系,尤其是肢体神经与经筋具有较高的吻合度,提示这两个概念有可能是东西方医学对于同一人体组织结构的不同命名。此发现不仅有益于对经筋本质的认识,也能够进一步理清经筋与中医其他人体结构概念之间的关系,乃至对解读传世本《黄帝内经》中的经络相关理论也具有十分重要的参考价值。

The essence of Jingjin is always an unavoidable topic in the development of the theory in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).However it remains unclear inspite of that most experts tend to consider it as a composite structure consisting of various tissues.The article of Ling Shu·Jingjin documented in detail the origin,course,branches,ending of each Jingjin in every segment of extremities,including the positional relationship among them and between the Jingjin and the anatomical mark.So it can be determined that the Jingjin is an important human body structure discovered by ancient Chinese doctors under the condition of visual anatomy.It is found that there is a one-to-one match between Jingjin and nerve in each segment of body,especially in the limbs,by comparing the anatomical description of starting and ending sites,coursing and distribution characteristics,including adjacent structure of them after introduction the cutaneous nervous system.Therefore the coincidence above suggestes that these two concepts may be different names for the same human tissue structure from eastern and Western medicine.This discovery is not only beneficial to the understanding of the essence of Jingjin,but also can further clarify the relationship between Jingjin and other concepts of human body structure in TCM,and even has a very important reference value for the interpretation of related theories of meridian channels in Huangdi Neijing.
