摘要
基于阐释翻译观,研究《飞鸟集》郑振铎和冯唐译本在翻译四步骤中译者主体性的差异。郑振铎和冯唐出于对原作的兴趣,“信赖”并翻译《飞鸟集》;“侵入”性地理解原文;在“吸收”步骤,郑振铎运用异化以保留原文的形式和风格,冯唐则使用归化改变原文的形式;最后都对译文进行了“补偿”,力求实现原文和译文的平衡。研究发现,两译本所体现的译者主体性差异源于他们所处时代背景、所受教育、翻译目的、个人意识、文化观念和诗学观的不同。
This paper,based on the perspective of hermeneutic translation,analyses the differences of the two translators’subjectivity in translating Stray Birds from the four steps of translation proposed by George Steiner.In the first movement,they“trusted”and translated the collection of poems out of their interest in Tagore’s poetry.In the second movement,the two translators"invaded"into the original text.In the third movement,Zheng adopted foreignization to keep the form and style of the original text,whereas Feng used domestication and changed the form of the original text.In the fourth movement,they both"compensated"for the translation,trying to achieve a balance between the original text and the translated text.The study finds that the differences in the subjectivity of the translators embodied in the two translations stem from their different backgrounds,education,translation purposes,personal awareness,cultural concepts and poetic outlooks.
