摘要
弗雷德里克·内拉特的《文学与唯物主义》是当下"物转向"背景下对唯物主义与文学研究进行再思考的力作。从赫拉克利特、卢克莱修到贝妮特、哈曼等当代思想家,该书勾勒了唯物主义的发展谱系,并通过对文学、语言与物质的深入探讨,整体介绍了文学与唯物主义的密切联系。本文以当代前沿理论新物质主义为出发点,探讨该书在阐述新物质主义的兴起、新物质主义的发展谱系与相关哲学思想、新物质主义对文学理论与文学批评的影响等方面的意义与价值。
Frédéric Neyrat’s Literature and Materialisms is an important work that rethinks the relationship between materialism and literary studies in the contemporary trend of "material turn." From Heraclitus, Lucretius to Bennett, Harman and other contemporary thinkers, the book not only sketches the trajectory of materialism, but also introduces the close relationship between literature and materialism with an in-depth exploration of literature, language, and matter. Taking one of the contemporary cutting-edge theory of new materialism as a starting point, this review discusses the significance and value of Literature and Materialisms from the rise of new materialism, its historical origin, and related philosophical thoughts, as well as its influence on literary theory and literary criticism.
