To construct the socialist moral evaluation system with Chinese characteristics,the Chinese nation should not only base herself on the lively practice and practical need of the socialist construction with Chinese characteristics,but also draw ideological resources and philosophical wisdom from the evolutionary history of Chinese society and the profound tradition of Chinese culture.In the traditional society,the Chinese nation adhered to the concept of pluralistic moral culture,and constructed a pluralistic moral evaluation system composed of such elements as Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism.This was a moral evaluation system with Chinese characteristics,which regarded Confucianist moral values,Taoist moral values,and Buddhist moral values as reasonable moral value standards,and applied them to different contexts to evaluate people’s moral attitude towards work and performance,thus forming a pluralistic pattern for the traditional Chinese moral evaluation.The pluralistic moral evaluation system was the signal of value in the moral life of the Chinese nation in the traditional society.In today’s Chinese society,it can still play an innegligible value-guiding role in the moral life of the Chinese nation.The contemporary Chinese nation is still deeply influenced by the diversified traditional moral evaluation system,and it is still using it for moral evaluation.The traditional Chinese moral evaluation system is still a powerful force for the contemporary Chinese nation to shape the moral personality and an important means to carry forward the moral positive energy,and can provide certain enlightenment for the contemporary Chinese nation to construct a socialist moral evaluation system with Chinese characteristics.
