As an emerging culture, fan subculture has received extensive attention from cultural studies scholars in both East and West. The fields of female fans, fan consumption practices, and the relationship between fans and mainstream society have also begun to be discussed.Through a virtual ethnography of the far-reaching fans conflict in 2020,it has been found that there is a hierarchical power structure within the fan community based on gendered identification, and that the different positions of fans in different subcommunities in dealing with the fandom incident results in an unbridgeable conflict. In the midst of this fans conflict, the fan subculture reproduces and reiterates the mainstream power system and value judgments, becoming a“dangerous subaltern”to the mainstream power discourse, and despite a certain sense of resistance,it is still essentially vulnerable.
