吴文津历任胡佛研究所东亚图书馆和哈佛燕京图书馆馆长,为胡佛所收入陈诚特藏,编著了《现代中国研究指南》。他促成了中国研究资料中心的建立,并担任顾问,发表了不少学术论著,成了美国乃至全世界研究当代中国研究资料的专家。

Eugene Wu served as the directors of the East Asian Library of the Hoover Institution and Harvard-Yenching Library.He collected the special collection of Chen Cheng for the Hoover Institution;and compiled Contemporary China:A Research Guide.Publishing quite a lot of scholarly works,he has become an expert in the materials on the studies of contemporary China in the United States and the whole world.
