Anthropocene:The Human Epoch is a video art practice that faces up to the issues of Eco-politics.In the form of a non-fictional documentary,it aesthetically represents the various realistic encounters between human technology, the consumer society and the natural environment, all of which have laid bare certain strong eco-ethical concerns. This paper will take the ecological thoughts of Gaston Bachelard,Michel Serres and Timothy Morton as references, and reflect respectively from the perspectives of The Resistance of Material,The Natural Contract and“hyperobjects”,in the aim of highlighting the artistic strategies of expression in this documentary,as well as its ethical and political connotations.
