《容闳和留美幼童》一书,由中国文史出版社出版发行。作者寻访写作的时间跨度长达二十年,对一个个所能看到的留美幼童的材料进行研读,对他们所参与的事件一个个进行查证,找到内在的逻辑关系,把他们放在历史的长河中,以时间为顺序,一件事、一件事地反映容闳这位师长、留美幼童这个群体在中国近现代化过程中所做的贡献。容闳和他的学生,影响了他们生活着的当时,也影响了以后。读书、行路,相伴着的是探寻与突破、热情和执着。把我们不熟悉却又真实存在的一段历史,用《容闳和留美幼童》这本书记录下来,为的是以史为鉴、纪念先贤、激励后人。

Rong Hong&the Children Studying Abroad in America was published by Chinese Literature and History Press.The time for the author’s searching and writing spans up to twenty years,studying every material which she could get about the children studying abroad in America,checking the event they participated in,finding the internal logical relationship,putting them in the long river of history,and in chronological order recording everything that can reflect the contribution of Teacher Rong Hong and the group of children in American in the process of modernization in China.Rong Hong and his students affected the time they lived and the future.Reading and walking,accompanied by exploration and breakthrough,enthusiasm and persistence.This true and real history which we have not been familiar with,was recorded in the book Rong Hong&the Children Studying Abroad in America,in order to learn from history,to commemorate the sages,and to inspire the posterity.
