Specific Ways to Improve English Major’s Intercultural Communication Competence at Local Universities

采用文献阅读与课堂观察相结合的方法,基于布鲁姆分类学理论探讨西部地方高校英语专业学生跨文化能力提升的实践路径。西部地方二本英语专业学生跨文化交际能力培养,必须以实现初级目标为基础,即提升认知能力与感情能力;帮助学生达到高级目标,即培养跨文化交际的行为能力,从而为学生继续教育特别是国际化教育做好准备。借鉴美国某中西部地方高校课程安排与评分标准,西部地方高校英语专业学生跨文化交际课程授课方式向交互式转变,课程安排向多样性发展,学生评价标准向多维度转变,这是共同促进跨文化交际能力提升的实践路径。

Using both materials reading and class observations of one Western university in the USas research methods,based on revised Bloom’s taxonomy,the study undertakes the specific ways to improve the intercultural communication ability among English Leaners at Western local universities.In response to students‘s needs that seek further study and internationalized study,students should be assisted and supported to accomplish their lower level objectives and achieve higher level objectives.Taking two courses of a Western university in the US as a model,the study reveals that instructional methods and activities develop towards interactive processing,and course evaluation is revised to a multiple dimension.This is the specific ways to promote students’intercultural competence at Western local university.
