Analysis and Treatment of Two 6kV High Voltage Inverter Power Module Failures

分析了两起6kV高压变频器功率模块故障,通过现场检查和返厂检测,确定其中一起是现场环境较潮湿导致功率模块正负母排放电拉弧,另一起是变频器功率模块单元内IGBT产品质量存在缺陷。对变频器运行要求和设备维护提出了改进措施,以防同类事件发生。

This article analyzed two 6kV high-voltage inverter power module failures.Through on-site inspection and return to the factory,it was determined that one of them was caused by the humid environment on the site,which caused the positive and negative bus discharge electric arc of the power module,and the other was the inverter power module unit.The quality of internal IGBT products is defective.Improved measures are proposed for inverter operation requirements and equipment maintenance to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
