The RCEP free trade agreement brings a series of opportunities and challenges for the trade and transformation of China's petrochemical industry.As a new R&D institution leading the innovation and development of petrochemical industry,it is necessary to firmly grasp the opportunities brought by the international context of RCEP to enhance the scientific and technological innovation capacity and help China's traditional petrochemical industry to transform and upgrade.This paper analyzes the current situation of the development of new R&D institutions in petrochemical industry by elaborating the impact of RCEP agreement on China's petrochemical industry,and explores the countermeasures for the high-quality development of new R&D institutions in petrochemical industry under the background of RCEP,so as to provide guarantee for petrochemical technology innovation,industrial transformation and upgrading.
