Auxiliary switch is widely used in all kinds of power equipment.The state of auxiliary switch directly determines whether the power equipment can work reliably according to the established function.This paper introduces the analysis and treatment of a 500 kV circuit breaker fault caused by the improper switching of auxiliary switch.It introduces the process of equipment fault and the problem of fault finding in detail.It analyzes the reasons for the damage of auxiliary switch and the burning of coil found in the fault,and finally puts forward the corresponding rectification measures combined with the fault reasons.It is expected to provide reference for fault troubleshooting and cause analysis of switchgear power equipment.
