The Focus of Musicology Research is Music

1991年,郭乃安先生发表《音乐学,请把目光投向人》一文,对中国音乐学界产生了不小影响。通过分析这篇文章的立论根据,认为它没有论及音乐学的特殊性,因此它所倡导的并不是音乐学,而是人类学的分支学科———音乐人类学。建立此学科,应为人类学界的任务。如果音乐界有人希望为建设此学科贡献力量,学好人类学的基础知识为不二法门。

In 1991,Mr.Guo Nai’an published an article entitled"Musicology,Please Turn Attention to People",which had a considerable impact on Chinese musicology in academia.By analysing the basis of this article’s discussion,I argue that it ignored the specificity of musicology,and therefore what it advocated was not musicology,but a sub-discipline of anthropology-music anthropology.Establishment of the music anthropology discipline should be the task of anthropology academia.If anyone in the music field wants to contribute to this discipline,learning the basics of anthropology knowledge is the only way to do so.
