On the Ethics of College and University Teachers in the New Era

党的十八大以来,习近平总书记在纵论教育、教师工作特殊重要性的过程中,凸显了高尚师德对于育人工作的极端重要性。从对“塑造灵魂”这一教师工作本质的深刻理解,可以看到新时代高校教师的师德遵循:在政治生活中,坚定马克思主义信仰,树高远志向;在社会生活中,行为世范,适应社会文明发展要求,做有公德心和责任心的新时代好公民;在职业生活中,以高深学识、高尚品德和崇高人格,真正做学生身心健康成长、全面发展的引路人。

Since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,in the course of discussing the special importance of education and teachers’work,Xi Jinping has highlighted the extreme importance of the teacher’s prominent professional ethics to education.From the deep understanding of“shaping the soul”,we can see the teachers’ethics in the new era:in political life,they should firmly believe in Marxism and set up lofty aspirations;in social life,they should act as models,adapt to the requirements of social civilization development,and be good citizens with public morality and have the sense of responsibility in the new era;in professional life,with profound knowledge,noble moral character and lofty personality,they should truly be the guide of students’physical and mental health growth and all-round development.
