The Political Logic and Institutional Strengths of Upholding the CPC Leadership

党的十九届六中全会通过的决议把“坚持党的领导”作为中国共产党建党百年的“十个坚持”的首要经验,彰显了“坚持党的领导”的时代价值。坚持党的领导是中国政治制度的显著特色,具有独特的政治逻辑。马克思主义政党学说诠释了坚持党的领导的理论依据,中国共产党百年奋斗的光辉历程印证了坚持党的领导的历史必然性,政党中心主义分析视角提供了坚持党的领导的认知维度,“宪法为上、党章为本”的法治原则为坚持党的领导提供了制度合法性。中国共产党领导是中国特色社会主义制度的最大优势。坚持党的领导才能实现中华民族的伟大复兴、才能不断推进国家治理体系与治理能力现代化、才能坚持中国特色社会主义道路毫不动摇、才能保障法治中国建设的顺利实施。

The resolution adopted by the sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee regards “upholding the CPC leadership” as the primary of the ten experiences in the centenary history of the CPC and also highlights its value in the new era. The Marxist political party theory interprets the theoretical basis of upholding the CPC leadership, which is a distinctive feature of China’s political system with its political logic. The glorious striving course of the CPC has proved the historical inevitability of its leadership. The analytical perspective of party centrism provides the cognitive dimension of upholding the CPC leadership. The rule of law of “the Constitution first, the Party Constitution based”provides institutional legitimacy for upholding the CPC leadership and demonstrates the strength of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics. By upholding the CPC leadership, we can achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, modernize governance system and capacity, firmly follow socialism path with Chinese characteristics and ensure the successful implementation of the rule of law in China.
