文本内外:茅盾的《腐蚀》与香港

In and Outside the Text:Mao Dun’s Corrosion and Hong Kong

1941年茅盾在香港创作的《腐蚀》,因文本选取的人物、背景以及整个故事的进展没有表现香港而被认为是“和香港无关”。而从作者、作品、读者、编辑的关系出发,结合文本,可以看到茅盾采用了一种站在香港读者立场、并积极将读者的阅读趣味纳入创作思考之内的书写方式,《腐蚀》的创作和发表与香港是有着密切联系的。主体三个部分分别阐释了抗战时期香港读者群建构与对作家的具体影响,促成《腐蚀》能够迎合本地读者,使得茅盾在香港的小说写作转向的两个条件,以及《腐蚀》在形式和内容上所体现的香港因素。

In 1941,when Mao Dun wrote his Corrosion in Hong Kong,it was deemed to have’no relationship with Hong Kong'because the characters,the background and the progress of the whole story did not feature Hong Kong.However,if we start off by looking at the relationship between the author,his work,the reader and the editor,in relation to the text,we may see that Mao Dun took an approach to his writing by including in it the reader’s taste from the position of the Hong Kong based readers as the creation and publication of the novel is closely related to Hong Kong.The three parts of the subject respectively explicate the concrete influence the construction of groups of readers in Hong Kong in the Anti-Japanese War period had upon the writers,the two conditions that induced Corrosion to cater to the taste of the local readers and that caused Mao Dun’s Hong Kong-based novels to take a different turn and the Hong Kong effects reflected in Corrosion in terms of its form and contents.
