摘要
马华留台作家张贵兴于2018年推出长篇小说《野猪渡河》。在小说里,张贵兴以砂劳越被日军占领的“三年八个月”为中心,试图揭开婆罗洲隐而未现的华人抗日史,在剥除隐喻与再造寓言的基础上,重新思考与建构“雨林”美学,写出华文文学世界里的人类共通经验。他的尝试既是对自己“雨林”美学的一种新变,也为华文文学新题材的出现开辟了道路。
Zhang Guixing,a Chinese Malaysian writer based in Taiwan,published his novel,Boars Crossing the River,in 2018.In this novel,with the Japanese occupation of Sarawak for three years and eight months as the centre,Zhang Guixing attempts to reveal the hidden history of how the Chinese Malaysians fought the Japanese.By stripping it of metaphor and re-creating a fable,he engages in re-thinking and constructing a‘rainforest’aesthetics,creating a shared human experience in the literary world of overseas Chinese.His attempt is both a new change in his own‘rainforest’aesthetics but is opening up a new path to the appearance of new subject matter in overseas Chinese literature.
